Me encontré esta Apatura ilia el año pasado en la Serra do Courel libando lo que era excremento de perro. Dado que iba y volvía al mismo lugar cogí un palito y lo “unté” con la caca de perro y se lo acerqué a la mariposa. Así se subió y empezó a libar y yo la fotografié teniendo el palo en una mano y en la otra la cámara.
I found this Apatura ilia (Lesser Purple Emperor) last year in the Serra do Courel sucking dog shit. I picked a stick and “smeared” with the dog poop and I went to the butterfly. So it climbed and began to suck and I photographed it taking the stick in one hand and in the other the camera.
